If you’re an Orchard Manager, you’ll understand the critical role honeybees play in pollinating your crops and the direct link between pollination and fruit yield – we know all about it, and we can make it work better for you. We can provide as many beehives you require at a ‘sweet as’ price – it’s an investment that’s sure to pay off.

We are happy to service and supply beehives right across the North Island from South Taranaki across to the Bay of Plenty and up to Kaitaia in the North.

Meet Shannon:

Horticulturist, Pollination Expert and Master Beekeeper.

Shannon Chisnall is the owner of The Pollinators and has a background spanning 23 years in the horticultural sector. He knows the ins and outs of growing plants and crops and with this unique perspective, Shannon believes he is uniquely placed to understand and to offer advice on the best location, for your hives, the optimum number of hives required and the perfect composition of each bee colony. His bees are bred for superior strength and stimulated to maintain optimum strength throughout their time on your property.

Shannon knows what’s required to produce the perfect batch of honey. In addition to the wellbeing of the bees, he believes it also takes an understanding of the cycle of nature and the perfect environmental conditions to maximise the quality and volume of honey that each hive can produce.

We ensure our hives consistently comply with the current Kiwifruit Pollination Association standards where a pollination hive should have seven frames of 60 per cent brood, 12 frames of bees and a queen, with room for the colony to expand. We guarantee our disease free hives are maintained regularly and fed with sugar syrup and pollen patties as some crops are harder for the bees than others.

Whether you have a private avocado orchard, or you’re a large kiwi orchard owner, a berry farm requiring seed crop pollination or citrus orchard requiring fruit tree pollination – we guarantee our top quality bees will be incredibly beneficial for all your crops.

For The Landowner

We offer fair prices and superior bees to landowners, farmers and Iwi.
If you have Manuka, on your land, we’re keen as mustard to build a long term partnership with you in our pursuit of the finest Manuka honey. If the quality of the Manuka is superior and there is a large area available we would look at creating a very attractive mutually beneficial partnership with you.
